Firm Investigating Gasoline Contamination in Winthrop Harbor
Firm is currently investigating a soil and groundwater contamination matter in
Winthrop Harbor, Illinois related to gasoline leaking from a gas station on
Sheridan Road.  The contamination appears to have spread to several single
family homes and at least one other business as a result of leaking
underground storage tanks on the gas station property.  The firm is
continuing to push not only for compensation for those affected, but also full
scale testing of the affected properties that will ensure the properties are safe
for those who live and work on them.

Firm Settles Defamation Lawsuit
The firm recently settled a case on behalf of a former trustee of the College of
DuPage’s Board of Trustees who alleges she was sexually harassed by the
Chairperson of the Board.  Our client (the trustee) was sued by the Chair in a
$6 million defamation complaint after she reported his allegedly
inappropriate conduct to College officials.  Not only was the Chair’s
complaint against her dismissed, pursuant to a law called the Illinois Citizen
Participation Act, but our client was reimbursed her attorneys’ fees and
compensated for her losses.
