Maggie Galka featured in Vermont Law School Alumni Magazine
Collins Law environmental attorney Maggie Galka was recently featured in the Vermont Law School alumni magazine for her work with a non-profit--the Environmental Justice Community Action Network (“EJCAN”)--that she helped found in 2020 with five other Vermont Law School alumni. EJCAN works directly with low-income and communities of color to give them a fighting chance when confronted with toxic contamination and injustice. As Maggie explains, “EJCAN is focused on…your right to a clean and healthy environment and how that right might be affected by racism, sexism, and classism, because they are linked. We want to help communities find solutions on all sides of the problem, not just environmental solutions.” Kudos to Maggie for her hard work and recognition!
