We are committed to providing our clients with exceptional, uninterrupted service while also protecting the health and safety of our staff, clients, and our community. So, for the time being, in response to COVID-19, we will be communicating with new and existing clients by phone, email and video conference.
Is Your Office Currently Open During Normal Business Hours?
Yes. The Collins Law Firm remains open during regular business hours. Most of our staff are working remotely for the time being, but some staff are at the office each day. If you have any questions about how we may be able to help you, you should feel free to contact Firm founder and partner, Shawn Collins, directly at (630) 527-1595, ext. 221.
When and How can I Contact you?
You may contact us 24/7 using the contact form on our website, by email at info@collinslaw.com, or by phone at (630) 527-1595, ext. 220. You may contact individual staff at the firm just as you did before—by phone and email.
What Video Chat Platforms do you Offer for Clients?
We offer Zoom video chats or FaceTime to clients.
Are you Accepting New Clients?
Yes, we are accepting new clients every day. We welcome all new clients, and questions from those who are searching for an attorney.
How can I get Updates Regarding the Status of my Case or Legal Matter?
Nothing has changed. Your attorney will contact you with regular updates on your case, as usual. You may also call, video chat, or email your attorney with questions at any time, including questions about the status of your case.
Are Courts of Law Still Open in my Area? Will my Court Date be Rescheduled?
Many of the courts in our area are temporarily closed and court dates are being rescheduled based on available information about the pandemic. Our attorneys will keep you updated on all changes. You are welcome to contact us directly, if you have specific questions about this.
Will Scheduled Depositions, Mediation, Arbitration, or Settlement Negotiations Occur as Planned?
We have had good success so far in keeping our cases moving, and making sure the important events of a case—like depositions, mediations, etc—occur as scheduled, although, obviously, they are occurring through the use of technology, like zoom, rather than in-person. Your lawyer will keep you apprised of all developments in this area, and you are always welcome to contact us with any specific questions that you may have.
