Naperville, IL - Collins Law partner Shawn Collins has been named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society whose members represent less than one-half percent of the lawyers in the United States. Fellowship in the LCA is by invitation only and is highly selective. Fellows are chosen based on excellence and accomplishment in litigation and their superior ethical reputation.
Shawn Collins is an environmental trial lawyer and partner at The Collins Law Firm. Since founding the firm in 1992, Shawn has fought tirelessly for justice for clients who have been injured by environmental contamination. His work has helped secure clean water, in-home environmental mitigation systems, and millions of dollars in damages for clients whose homes and neighborhoods were endangered by contamination from nearby businesses. In addition, he has recovered many more millions for clients who have been diagnosed with cancer due to their exposure to environmental carcinogens from corporate polluters.
"My work as an environmental trial lawyer has given purpose to my law practice," said Shawn. "Helping communities and individuals who have been harmed by contamination is very rewarding; being recognized for that work is icing on the cake."
Established as a trial and appellate lawyer honorary society, the Litigation Counsel of America represents the best in law among its members. Fellows are generally partners or shareholders in well-regarded law firms or independent practitioners with recognized experience and accomplishments. The LCA promotes superior advocacy, professionalism, and ethical standards among its Fellows.
